This course has been designed for early years teachers to understand the pedagogy of early years teaching and learning. Early learners are interested observers and curious explorers who are capable of constructing meaning to make sense of the world around them. Through their everyday experiences and social interactions, children inquire, explore, question, wonder about themselves and the world around them.
Quality learning experiences during the early years are supported through the social constructivist approach to learning. The IB PYP's stance on pedagogy is clearly articulated through this approach.
Silver Oaks International Schools' philosophy of nurturing character and competence in early learners stands on the grounds of providing students with the right environment and a strong pedagogical framework for the development of learners' cognitive and socio-emotional abilities.
